I would like to get a 60th Anniversary Commemorative Strat, but have not played one yet. To those of you who have experience with this type of fretboard, what are the advantages/drawbacks? I really don't play a lot above the 17th fret :D .

You bring up a good point, is a feature that is great for some, great for all? I play both lead and rhythm and do a lot of bending. I love compound radius fretboards and at this time I doubt that I would order another guitar without it.
But, if you mainly play rhythm, or don't do a lot of bending, than you probably wouldn't fully appreciate the advantages of a nice flat board to bend on. I doubt that you would dislike playing on it for any reason, so don't let that stop you from getting the Strat you're thinking of.

I have played all kinds of guitars and the two I play the most is a 10" radius strat
and a 10 to 16" compound radius. Love em both and don't notice that much od a dif to be honest. Both guitars set up the same too.

Ditto what Drew365 stated. The compound radius fretboard is good for playing lead and rhythm.

My 2014 American Deluxe Ash has the compound radius fretboard and it's great... starts flattening out at the 12th fret.

If you mostly play Rythm and don't bend, it's probably not worth paying for a premium model just to get this feature.

OTOH, even if you don't use it, it's not really noticable and won't bother your playing at all.

At least for me, but I have 2 Strats, 3 Tele's, a Heritage Semi-Hollowbody and a Martin accoustic, so I'm always dealing with different necks and fretboards. The transition from one to another is pretty much seamless for me now.

cheers!

About a month ago, I purchased the 60th Anniversary Commemorative American Standard, which I considered, primarily for the compound radius fretboard. Before this became available, I had been looking at the American Deluxe, because of the compound radius fretboard. Like any guitar purchase, you need to try it out to see if it meets your expectation. I did, and found the feel of the modern C neck and fretboard to my liking. Beyond the hardware features and esthetics, I like the sound. It is a pleasure to play, though depending on your playing needs or style, the fretboard itself may not provide you with any significant advantage. The intended primary benefit is bending. It is a guitar I very much like, and favor over my American Special, my previous favorite.

In my experience, I found the compound radius differed noticeably from what I would expect a traditional strat neck to feel like.

If you mean it differs from a 7.25" radius neck, than I would agree with you.
