Hi all.

Last month, when I posted a picture of my oh so subtle Strat, a couple members here commented that I had the wrong color pickup covers.
(Wow, I even used Fender parts, how could they be wrong?)
I used a set of black covers, well because I had them sitting around and I didn't think it would make a big difference.

They suggested that the cream aged white covers would be a better choice.

After some thinking it over, I thought what the heck could it hurt to give it a go, as it were.

I ordered in some new (Fender units) Cream colored ones and since I needed a new set of strings anyway I went and gave her a face lift.

So what say you'all, better?

(I like her either way)

Very nice. Very sparkly! :)
Truly unique looking Strat, in a good way.

Actually, for me...it isn't working...too many different textures and colors. I nearly went mad finding the 'correct' accessory plastics to match the 57/62s I installed...just me, perhaps.

However...what I think would really look great with the high-glam look of the sparkle finish would be to carry on with the chrome knob theme. Find some chrome pickup covers and switch tip and trem bar tip to match in chrome...that would be something to look at.

However...I've never seen chrome Strat pickup covers or other accessories...but, I've not looked very hard myself...

Cheers.

I was one of the guys who didn't like the black covers.

I think now that you have NAILED it! It looks awesome and balanced.

If Liberace had been a guitarist, that would be the prototype for his signature Strat.

I think it looks sweet. Also I think the black covers would have looked good too due to the black dots on the fretboard and if you added black knobs. Either way, she plays! Nice!

Seconded. That's a guitar I would play with a big grin on my face and combat boots to protect it.
