This was common even among vintage Strats from the late '50s and later. Once the guitar's popularity was established and assured, demand increased exponentially and such amenities as dusting inside the routs with a tack cloth was sacrificed in favor of expediency. No matter, the instrument's tone and build quality is not affected.
