I don't even understand why he is posting in this section (well other then to troll). The category is "Stratocaster Guitars", not beginners toy wannabees and balsa wood Starcasters. Granted if he legitimately had a question it would have been addressed properly it seems he knows more then all of us and has so much talent that he makes Starcasters sound like SRV is playing it and everyone else has no talent so we waste our money on quality American made instruments. [insert facepalm smiley here]

I felt the same about my Chevette. It was every bit as good as a Corvette, and the only difference was two little letters. They are both 'vettes after all. :P

OH MAN! You are right! They both have four wheels, they both have an engine, they both have a steering wheel, gas and brake pedal, they both have head lights and tails lights, they both start with a key, and they both will take you from one place to another. How could I have not seen this before!

Yep...these two cars are so close to each other I can't tell them apart!

Oh wait....the CORVETTE doesn't use a key to start it!

But the models made the same years as the Chevette do. 8)

The statment I made about both of them getting you from one place to another may be a little iffy in reguards to the Chevette.

+1!!!

Back in the day, a friend of mine bought a new Pontiac T1000 (that division's version of the pathetic Chevette). What an absolute lumbering sack of crap! The same dealer he bought it from also sold Datsuns, with GMAC picking up the paper for both brands at that time. Ironically, GMAC would write a 72-month loan for a Datsun 210 sedan but would only extend credit for 48 months to customers who bought the T1000. GMAC must've known something that Pontiac wasn't eager to admit.

Even tho the "Chevette" was a disposable car, there are some that aren't too bad....

Well about the only thing "Chevette" left on that one is a few body panels. But while on the subject my daily driver at one point was a 1969 Roadrunner with a 440 and it was not really that streetable and ate gas like a space shuttle. I sold it and was looking to get a late model Mustang or something more practical but in the interim found a Chevette for sale for 500 bucks near me so I purchased it to hold me over. The POS lasted me over 2 years putting in nothing but gas. I only got rid of it because one day while power shifting it I blew out the trans which was worth more then the entire car. But in a sense until then it did serve its purpose to get from point A to point B but not quite in the same fashion as a Corvette and certainly not much of a chick magnet. As a matter of fact you hide your face if you see a chick looking at you in that car.
