Blurry pics but from what I can make out it looks like the pickguard only has two knobs (master vol and tone I assume) with the vol moved down away from pickups.

Pretty cool mod, a P90/S/S strat would be pretty kickass.

Glad I could help, Ceri. Anything for a fellow Who geek.

Yeah, according to the stuff above the pictures, there's an additional blending knob too. You can kind of see it (not on the pickguard, on the body).

I actually am in the middle of doing a P90/S/S mod, but after doing all the wiring and removing the third pot, etc., I'm having trouble mounting the P90. It's kind of a pain, but should be great when it's finally done.

Yeah. There's an ultra-cheapo budget brand called Vintage: they got Trev Wilkinson to design them some models to try and buy a bit of cred. One of the things he came up with was a strat-type guitar done out in a 50s pale blue finish and mint plastic parts, with three P90s, wired like a real Strat.

Haven't heard it, but I must say, just visually it looked pretty nice. Be interested to try out a proper Strat done with that setup.

Well, from the last couple of posts, looks like there's at least a couple of people here that would be interested to hear how you get on! Be sure to post and let us know, huh?

Good luck!

Thats the guitar I read about in a magazine with the P90's first time I seen a picture of it though.

Wow. Be sure to post some pictures when you're done, I'd love to see that :D

I usally try not to revisit a thread after everything seems panned out but for some reason I seem to remeber Prince playing a Strat with p90's or at least a p90 in the bridge when he played the Super bowl. Does anyone else remember that or have video or an image? Thought it might give some insight or a direction to go

The green one is an actual Fender and was Masterbuilt by Greg Fessler. (Source: wildwoodguitars.com).

The natural one is an SX guitar, I have an SX with p90's in it and it is usable for sure.

If Fender made a nice P90 strat I would have to give it a shot.

My local Fender dealer just got in the Elvis Costello Jag or Jazz, it looks pretty cool.
