Of course they make them without the road worn look. Just click on the "Guitars" link at the top of this page and start browsing.

You can check Sweetwater, Guitar Center, Musician's Friend and many other retailers for lower prices.

Sure, check out the Jimmie Vaughan Tex-Mex Strat. The JV is an artist series MIM, has the same pickups, a soft v neck and it has no fake wear.

I compared a Jimmie Vaughan with a Road Worn 50s and 60s when they were first released and chose the JV. It's a great Strat and a real bargain.

Also check out the latest serial number roadworns 2013-2014. They have hardly any wear on them

Another consideration is the Deluxe Roadhouse. Yes, it has Texas Specials instead of Tex Mex pups, though. But besides being inexpensive, it also has some nice switching features, upgraded pickgaurd, and 22 frets. Nice guitar.

I have a MIM standard that I put Tex Mex pups into (that is another option by the way). I love my guitar, but if I had to do it all over again, I would get a Roadhouse in sunburst.
