I'm hoping that you experts can provide me with some recommendations to help fix a problem for a friend.

My friend has the pop in tremolo and said that it won't stay in. Is there something that would help resolve this? I've always had the traditional tremolo bar, so this is a learning opportunity for me. Thanks fellow Fender friends.

This has been discussed but basically the proper pop in arm has a groove just after the point.
This slips into a metal clip located at the bottom of the deluxe bridge.
If you do not press the arm in fully it will not seat home.
You should hear a thud or slight click as the arm seats.
There are two grub screws used for tensioning the arm to make it easy or hard to swing out of the way. If the grub screws are too tight this may prevent the arm sliding all the way in.
If the arm is fully driven in but does not remain there the metal clip is lost or broken or you do not have a deluxe bridge or possibly the correct arm.
Hope that helps :D
