I picked up a FSR American Standard “Vintage White” Stratocaster® not too long ago and just found out it was 1 out of 30 made. Anyone know how much it would increase in value (if any) in about 20 years maybe?

Thanks,

Kory

Value is determined by demand, if it was 1 of 10 made and there is no demand, there is little value. Nobody knows what demaned will be in 20 years. You might get lucky! take good care of it. :)

I would say "yes, there likely will be an associated premium" if this MIA Strat came with some kind of COA/FSR documentation and/or being numbered on the guitar itself. If that matters to you, then I would definitely keep this guitar bone stock (and if you do mod it, only go with reversible mods and keep the old parts).

1) How does this FSR differ from a normal MIA Std? I am assuming the color, or is it something else?
2) What documentation came with this FSR being limited to only 30 guitars? (just curious)

The increase in value of course would depend on what you paid for it originally.
If you bought it at MSRP then probably not much at all excluding inflation.
Fender would like every man woman and child to buy a guitar and will keep selling them while they can.
The guitar market is a fickle one and it is hard to predict 20 years out.
IMHO I suspect some guitars that will increase in value and this already seems to be a trend are the masterbuilt ones and some vintage reissues. :D

That is an important "if."

I would like to know the name of this Factory Special Run and who it was made for?

It will be worth exactly and precisely, nothing more or less then what someone is willing to pay for it.......just like today.

Guitars are to be played, not used as an investment, IMHO.

$10.00 Kory, no more or less, not factoring inflation. I know, I've been there.
