I recently broke my tremolo arm off in the bridge of my Fender Deluxe Player's Strat, and jacked up the bridge trying to extract the screw with a screw extraction kit. I wanted to make sure I ordered the correct replacement bridge. I had the original model, before they added the noiseless pickups. It was gold plated. Anyone know what I need?

Also, if this is an opportunity to upgrade, suggestions are welcome! I just want to make sure the new bridge fits my body and neck.

Thanks!!

Fender part number 0053275000 should fit.
There are some 'as new' base plate + block units without saddles on *bay for a good price if you search for 'Fender® Deluxe Player Mexican Strat Gold Bridge Base & Big Block-No Saddles New'

If you're looking to upgrade your guitar, the MIA vintage-spec bridge kit in gold is what you need -- Fender P/N 0992049200.

The set includes all mounting hardware, a trem claw, trem arm, string tree, and a cold-rolled steel trem block. The tip for the trem arm is white so if you need another color you'll have to source that part separately.

That upgrade sounds nice, but I am concerned about the spacing. I think I need 2-3/16" mounting spacing. Also, is the tremolo block heavier in the upgrade? That would be nice.

The string spacing is correct for your guitar and the steel block is significantly heavier than the one you currently have (yours is cast zinc alloy).

I can confirm what Arjay says. Yes the Deluxe players Strat has the US vintage spec tremolo. I used a US part on my DP based MIM project.

So I spoke to Fender, turns out I have a Deluxe Super Strat. It has the MIM Vintage tremolo, so the new MIA will be an upgrade. Very excited!

Those overwound pickups used in the Super Strat were some of the best that Fender ever made -- a pity that they were never available as a stand-alone accessory set.

Interesting. I swapped them out for Texas Specials. Maybe I should get them into another guitar.
