Do you mean in terms of conditions?

Pretty 'burst...play it well...and...nice grab on the amp, too.

It looks a lot like my 1975 Strat (3-tone sb, maple neck), but with more wear,

so I am wondering about the condition of the frets. Are they still in good shape, level, etc?

I haven't read every posting on this thread, but will say from my own experience buying '70s era Strats, results and quality will vary. Some of them are great, and some are aweful. As to the neck joint slipping, I have found a pretty good way around it. I've owned '70s era Strats that have really good tight necks and one that moves just by pulling on it. I fixed the problem by placing a card stock paper in the joint to fill in the space between the base of the neck and the neck pocket. Problem solved.

My main concern with '70s era Strats are thick finishes and pickups that are poorly made. I played 1970 Strat and the pickups were pretty crappy.

I owned black '77 Strat and the paint was so thick that felt like it was dipped in plastic.

Some of the '70s era Strats I have found were built in '79. The sunbursts are much nicer and the necks are very comfortable.

I hope all this helps. Good luck!
