Just what sound are you looking for?

Those two amps are diametrically opposed, sonically. And there's not much shared "middle ground".

not searching for a specific tone, I have a wem, a bassman, an Orange and an Italian handmade head. Love the tone for example both of Srv and Bonamassa as well as the Who or Acdc.

As I think someone posted here already, finding a good playing/sounding Strat from the '70s is hit or miss. I own 2 ('76 and '79) and they sound great. My '77 hard tail sounded and played was terrible guitar. Bought it online, and unloaded it quickly.

As for price, my 2014 Vintage Guitar Magazine price guide places the value for excellent condition '74 sunburst Strats from $2,700 - $3,400.

thanks for the info; that means approximately 3,5 / 4k € (considering taxes, shipping, etc..).. maybe high for the period but right or wrong market price for these guitars

We saw pictures on the previous page. Do we need to see a picture of him holding it?
Or maybe with a current guitar magazine or note to Ceri?
