Hey Guys, so I have a Fender Roland VG-5 Strat, Sunburst with Rosewood Maple Neck.
I'm looking to spruce it up a little bit. Does anyone know a reliable place to get Rosewood or Ebony Tuner Buttons that will fit Fender tuners? Thanks

Schaller do replacement tuner buttons for their machineheads, including in ebony. As stratele52 says, Stew-Mac is the place to hunt for those. And if you don't find what you need there, you can look on Schaller's own website:

http://www.schaller-electronic.com/hp12 ... tseite.htm

You can't buy direct from Schaller but if you have difficulty sourcing their products you can email them and they are very helpful with advice as to how to order items through your country's local stockists. Sometimes emails to Schaller are answered by their managing director, who is a very nice fella, in my experience. :)

But. If your tuners are not Schaller-made ones you may well be out of luck. I haven't seen commercially sold replacement buttons for Ping tuners. That doesn't mean they don't exist, but it's not hopeful.

However...

Here in the UK where I live there is a gentleman operating as Rothesay Music who custom makes guitar tuners to order, to fit all the main manufacturers' machines (including Ping), and in more than ten different materials, from ivoroid to koa to genuine mother-of-pearl, and of course ebony. He doesn't seem to have a website but uses Ebay.co.uk as his shop window:

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/rothesay-music

I and a friend have both bought tuner buttons from this maker and his product is good. However, there are a great deal of small but crucial differences between different machine button specs and it really helps to know what you are talking about to be sure of ordering the right thing. Study carefully before purchase.

For all I know, there may well be folks doing this sort of work in other countries too. But I haven't come across them.

Good luck - C
