Can anyone who has played the John Mayer strat tell what they thought of the neck. Im interested in getting one but I have small hands and I hear that it is on the chunky side. I own a 2006 Highway One tele and I like the neck on that but I wouldn't go any bigger.

I have a John Mayer Strat, and I I love the neck...I have smaller hands myself and I really don't think it affects too much, I think the fret size affects your playing and touch more then the neck radius. And the 6105 frets on the JM are awesome....That is just my opinion, others may disagree.

Below is a pic of me playing my JM, and you can see I am not a very big guy and it plays just fine...

Oh and I also own a Highway one tele (see background of the photo)... There isn't too much difference , they are both 9.25 radius necks..

But the only real test is play it for yourself... The guitar picks the player, the player doesn't pick the guitar :)
