I have a 1996 MIJ Strat that I need to swap out some rusty hardware. Pick guard screws, bridge saddles, bridge screws and pickup/switch screws. I also need a switch know.

After finding pick guard screws and a knob locally, I found the knob didn't fit, and the screws could work, but we're not an exact match.

I'd like to be able to find exact parts, but I'm leery about buying more new Fender parts.

Anyone know a good place to find new MIJ parts?

Or even suggestions for cleaning them up?

Thanks.

I believe that the MIJ stuff used metric parts, if that's any help?
I think the MIM guitars are the same.
If so that could be a good place to go looking.

I haven't needed any in a while but here's a couple of likely sources:

http://www.mijguitars.jp/index.html

http://darrenriley.com/product-category/fender-parts/

Good luck,

The Fender-Japan re-issue Strats for the most part use vintage-spec hardware, fasteners, and plastic parts. US-made replacements (with the exception of the tone/volume knobs and the switch tip are a drop-in fit).

The MIM Classic Series Strats are similarly equipped though the MIA knobs and switch tips may be used without fit issues.

Thanks everyone. It looks like EY will have most if not all of what I'm looking for.
