Hi

I currently involve in the process of modiffing my guitar and so im ordering parts from Various online retailer websites but the big fuzz is the packaging differences for same product. this is very inconvinient because fender website only shows very limited amount of information . for example i've found several packagings for vintage noiseless pickups . a red one and a black one with pots included which fender website does not list in the part section . is there any difference or packaging code that fender uses? and what is with geniune parts trademark? Im really confused any help is much appreciated

sincerely

1st of all, what guitar are you modifying :?: A Squier Strat requires different parts than an older MIM Strat. versus an MIA Standard or a Vintage MIA...

IT would help us to advise if we knew what you are playing with..

Hi kaveh,
if you are checking various sources it's not surprising that you'll see different packaging.
On the Vintage stuff in particular, there was a change about a year ago, so if a dealer has older stock the package will include the pots, cap and resistor. The newer package will not.
There's a specific kit for those items--Fender part number 099-2115-555
Check out page 17 here http://support.fender.com/library/2013/2013_Fender_Accessories_ProductGuide.pdf or Page 15 Here: http://issuu.com/fender/docs/2014_fende ... =0/6554182

Hope that helps.
All the best,
rob
