my 62 pups were noisy from the day one. I tried everything but no luck. I give up on them and decide to buy new ones. vintage noiseless Seems to be a decent replacement but I don't know if I also have to change the pots or not. If the answer's yes what Value should I get? should I get a TBX also? any suggestions about the whole thing is highly appreciated.
Sincerely
kaveh

You don't have to change the Pot values, 250K is still good.

Fender routinely supplies 1-meg volume and tone pots with its Vintage Noiseless pickup set. Whether you actually need them is up for speculation......

I've never found any utility in the TBX tone control.

I'm on the other side of that from Arjay... I like the TBX and it's range, I used it with the 1st Strat rebuild. the pups were in my 2001 MIM Deluxe player Strat.. Those are vintage pups wired up with a push/push switch ( 7 combinations ). in this set up I did not like the pups so I swapped them for SCN's and used them in my build with TBX tone.... I love the range ..... But ....

I don't think the TBX works for every pickup... So it is selective and you may want to try them out but also have a set of 250's on hand... It is subjective and what your amp selection is matters greatly.... I run thru a Pro Junior, a vintage Magnatone Classic 410 and will either add a Blues Deluxe and a Blues Junior...... No racks or pedals.... I don't like the response or sound of solid state amps..

So it is very much about what your ears tell you..... :?

I checked the link and you are right the box looks legit as well but there is this:

http://www.fender.com/guitar-bass-parts ... ged-white/

no pots mentioned and the price ' is way higher even without 9 dollar pots • makes me wonder

I play through various amps from solid state to full tube amps even direct to the mixer so i want something that doesn't depend So much on the gear in other words i want it to be an overall improvement

As I said, you won't know until you experiment, it's all subjective...
Many people love overdrive / sustain pedals, I hear synthetic replication and prefer the sound of a small amp driven to tears..... It's all in the ears of the beholder...

I would consider (1st) rewiring, there are multiple schematics to get your pickups to sound very different. That would be the initial focus, also making sure your guitar is grounded, pup cavity is insulated will also affect sound quality....
A RW / RP will give very different results....
