Photobucket I can help you with.
Get the image you want to share and click on the box to the right where it says IMG.
Paste it into the post reply box.

Two springs today. It's a little sensitive, but good for what I'm recording. How does my bridge look?

Nice EC Strat.
You're not adjusting tremolo tension by removing springs are you?

Try putting the springs back and use a screwdriver to adjust the spring tension.
I've been trying out the Carl Verhayen way of setting up a floating tremolo lately, and I like the way things feel.
I also use 5 springs.

Ya, that's what I'm doing. I'll check out that video. Thanks.

Stoppit!
You'll do yourself an injury with springs snapping back and what have you.
Taking a driver to the spring claw screws is a much better and safer way, even if you want to deck the bridge plate.

Tremelo users fall into two camps, floating or non floating, and the video deals with the former.
This video has a number of useful general tips for setting up trem bridges

That's good advice, it's too nice a guitar to scratch up and bleed on!

Exactly so.
And when your wounds have healed you still have a scratched guitar!

On all vintage tremolo , the arm is secure with a small spring .

Thanks, that helps. So I just leave it in the hole and screw the arm in on top of it? That seems to be the only way to do it.

One tip you might find useful, on my Strats I put a small round magnet over the hole when the tremolo arm is not in use - I got the magnet from the lid of a box that came with a pedal, you know the type of box where the lid closes with a little click.
