I will soon put up pictures.

Glad everything went well.

I had a Black HSS SQUIER, That had the goofy looking fat heads.

I had a RED Mexico Made Fender HSS.

I hate RED and only got it because I kept loosing the auctions for the colors I do like.

SO.

I yank all the guts and neck off of the SQUIER.

Then I put the NECK AND GUTS Of the MEXICO FENDER Inside the Black Squier Body.

So now I got myself that Mexico Made Black Stratocaster that I truely wanted.

Squier body seems a bit thinner and flatter, that's even more of a plus for me.

Coals to Newcastle!

Why didn't you just paint the red guitar black?

You may find that thinner Squier body is made of plywood -- not exactly known (or appreciated) for its sonic properties.

Squiers are a bit thinner bodies, unless it's a Standard series.

If you enjoy the way it plays and looks then it's a good first build. Great feeling isn't it?

You've gotta start somewhere, maybe you can sell the unused parts and start dreaming of ways to improve on your next build. :D

Didn't want to find out the need of paint , paint finish, and sand paper.

The Fender was Poly as well. The series was A Squier HSS Affinity.

The inside eletronics are indeed way better. This is crystal clear compared to the crap affinity electronics.

Here,

Yeah only SQUIER thing about it is the BLACK Body and the Bridge along with the whammy bar as the Fender Whammy wouldn't fit in it.

So yeah it's now basically a BLACK MEXICO FENDER STRAT.

I certainly don't see it that way but whatever blows your skirt is fine, Hoss.

What Arjay, no love for a bastardized Squier Frankenstrat :?:

Were you not once young and less wise in the ways of Fenderdom :?:

It has been said:

Give a man a guitar and he will struggle mightily with the tuning. :(

Teach a man to Play guitar and for the rest of his days, he shall never hold a regular job!

Indeed I was.

But that was in the paleolithic era, where the internet had not yet been invented and there were no seasoned curmudgeons to caution me not to wreck things that need not be wrecked.

Haha, the body and Bridge of a Squier affinity are truly horrendous. The neck is the best bit.

You pays the money, you make the choices, but I'd get some more opinions before you embark on your next 'project'.
