It's too bad that the alternative source is unmentionable here or I could find out. Would you mind sending a PM? Do they currently sell quite a bit of cannibalized Strat parts on ebay? Considered the high priced spread?

Yes on all counts.

Not sure when Fender started putting 2 point trem bridges on the MIM. But I think they were going for that vintage look that some of the Strats had in the early 50's. This one was manufactured in 2013 according to the sn. My FSR Black Strat that I'm currently working on to give it that low cost version of a Gilmour has the standard 6 screw bridge and my Am Strat has a 2 point which is really touchy if you accidently bump the trem arm while playing. I also put on 4 1/4 inch arms on my Black Strat and American, but I'm not even gonna touch the anniversary strat. Leaving it purely stock. 8)

Issues such as that are a tough nut to crack. With ample experience in such matters, the right tools, and the patience of Job, *sometimes* a skilled luthier can correct a problem like that. But as often as not, the warped neck may end up as a very expensive piece of kindling.

The MIM Classic Player 50s and 60s Strats have had the 2-point tremolo bridge since they were introduced in 2006. They were designed by Custom Shop Master Builders and both chose the 2-point. That's why the 60th Anniversary Classic Player has it.

I want to take a closer look at the 60th Anniversary Classic Player but the only one I have seen sold before I had the chance to play it. That's the most effective method of controlling GAS other than being broke.

Yup... my CP came with an extra hang tag with info on one of the MB. A quick bio of Dennis Galuszka that some might know who designed the Robben Ford P90 guitar. At least thats what the tag says. I'm kind a fond of the 2 point bridge. I just don't care for the box saddles on other guitars,IMO.
