It did strike an odd nerve on me too...Same with the whole fake Road Worn mentality. If it's to be worn down why not put the effort and wear it down yourself playing the crap out of it?

But then I played her and that was that.

Literally the day before I bought it, I went to a shop and had a go with the original 60's Road Worn in sunburst, and then a beautiful sunburst 2012 American Standard (I'm a sucker for sunburst) and I still bought this second hand, ugly, fake worn, half hacked hag anyway. And I reckon that says it all...

Crucify me, burn me in the main square, tie me down and throw me to the lake, but I'll take this one down with me to the grave...

I firmly believe that it makes little difference what others say about your guitar, as long as you play that sucker to death and create some real magic with it and love it with all 10 of your fingers!
don't worry if it's fake, missing original specs or whatever. Make it sing for you and your friends
