anyone know the difference between an H/H Blacktop Strat and an H/H Blacktop Jaguar?
Both have alder bodies, but the Jag has a smaller body and a 24" scale opposed to the Strat's 25 & 1/2" scale.

Can I assume the Jag would be a little lighter?

You never know... Just asked them to be weighed before packed and shipped. The same type of wood can vary in density.

And if ( you) check weight with regular personnal scale , it could have one or few pounds error.

We don't know if KRK want to order by mail or buy in person .

Not sure if you got your answer yet. I have a 2013 Blacktop Jag and an 1992 Am Stnd Strat (w/swimming pool route). The Jag body is quite a bit bigger and weighs around 8 lbs. The Strat is around 7.5 lbs. Both are alder. You can also check out Sweetwater Guitar Gallery - the weight is usually listed.

Hi. Dunno if this answers your question or not, but i have both a Blacktop Jaguar and Blacktop Stratocaster. The jaguar is noticeably heavier, though not massively heavier. Its probably because the overall dimensions of the body seem a little larger.

Hope this Helps

If it is...NOBODY will be playing a mid 70s Les Paul then! Some of those weighed in at !3-14 pounds!

I can attest to that!

My '77 Les Paul Standard "touring guitar" tips the scales at 13lbs, 5 oz.

The Jaguar has a larger body due to the offset waist. I have a Jag and a Strat. The Jag is heavier.
