If it was refretted another place to look for clues is the nut, because a refret requires the nut to be removed/replaced, so that (a). The new frets (and possibly the fingerboard) can be levelled properly without the nut obstructing the work, and (b). The Medium Jumbo wire is higher than the Vintage wire therefore requiring nut replacement because the original nut will not provide enough string height over the first fret.

Does it look like the nut has been replaced? usually you can tell because the original nut will have some lacquer also applied to the sides of the nut, when replacing the nut this needs to be carefully scored with a very sharp knife to prevent chipping when the nut is removed and on a replacement nut this finish would be absent.
