While the Dusenberg is a great guitar... don't buy one unless you've 1st checked out Heritage Guitars !!

Made by decades old former Gibson employees right in Kalamazoo, MI in the old Gibson Factory #2 on original Gibson Tooling. These former employees decided to take the buyout when Gibson left Kalamazoo in '85 for Nashville after 122 years there.

Heritage quite literally out-Gibsons Gibson at 1/3 the price !

These are hand-made guitars... Heritage refrains from that description because they do use some routers and so call them Hand-Crafted instead.

Many may not have heard of Heritage as they do no advertizing, yet they sell every guitar they make.

These are temendous guitars !

I own 2 guitars I'll NEVER even consider selling... my Ltd. Ed. AVRI '57 Stratocaster and my Heritage H-535 !

I have not played a Heritage guitar, so I am not going to enter any opinions on them. But the Heritage guitars I have seen are much more expensive than that, selling for at least $2000.

I need my strat, my les paul, my ricky 12 string, my fender 5 string bass, my fretless 5 string bass, and my amps
Like to have a custom built acoustic, a 6 and a 12 string, sg with p90's, and a gretsch.

I think that would cover everything....

Where's Rick Nielson when you need him. I heard he has around 2000 guitars, including 3 five neck custom made thingamabobs!

yeah, these guitars look really nice, but they are just as expensive or more than the gibsons.
those two junior-like ones are just what i want (right now!!!! ) but they cost more than the gibson (probably they are better quality, but still)

and looks like they make alex skolnick's guitars, so that says a lot

intriguing, will have to keep an eye open

I have one guitar - an FSR '57 AVRI - that exceeds my skills by so much that I will be years before I need to look any further. For the foreseeable future, it's the only guitar I need.

I think as a musician you would need single coils, humbuckers, an acoustic electric and a 12 string.

I don't have that excuse, I still have 12 guitars, but they each have the sound I was looking for at the time I bought them, and I play them for that sound.

This is what makes us happy, playing them and looking at them.

I'll probably get some more eventually and that's fine, if somebody is happy with a couple of them and the other guy with 70, more power to them.

Guitar playing and ownership is individual and if there is enough money available, need is overlooked and want comes into play.

A very classy stratocaster, RGM. They did the sunburst right on that one.

For me, I want to acquire guitars that are very different from one another in tone and how they play. Hence, my modest stable in its diversity consist of ...

- 2011 Gibson Les Paul (Trad Pro)
- 1979 Gibson SG Standard (a real sweetie, this one ...)
- Fender HH Project Strat
- 2004 Fender SSS MIM Strat
- 2009 Squier VM Thinline Tele (with single coils)

If I ever got another guitar (and it is certainly not in the budget currently), it would probably be a Gibson Les Paul with P90 pickups.
