Looking to ID a US stratocaster - appears to be an american deluxe but with a mix of features:

CBS Headstock - 'made in USA'
Contoured Heel, rounded neck plate
Z7 serial - dates to 2007
HSS Pickups
Oly White/Tort

It also has a 6-Screw Bridge w/black set screws - looks like a wilkinson/gotoh VSVG (could be aftermarket)

Doesn't match any Am. series I've seen - AFAIK only the highway 1 has a CBS headstock and none of them have rounded heel.

Thanks

Unusual lets see some pics.
Deluxe start with DZ not just Z.
That year USA manufactured had contoured heel, SCN pickups, S1 switching, LSR for HSS, two point trem and no large headstock.

That's no Deluxe.

Best case: partsocaster
Worst case: fake

Hmm, are you sure they never made a deluxe strat with a CBS headstock? Limited run/option thing maybe?

It has the locking F-logo tuners as per deluxe strat. And the body is definitely a deluxe -no mistaking a contour

If not, then it's one weird partscaster - Am. Deluxe Body, Highway 1 Neck (albeit Am. Deluxe Tuners) drilled for the 5th hole of a deluxe body, modified bridge (6 screw VSVG).

Why would anyone swap the neck off an Am. Deluxe for a Highway 1? Don't like the compound radius?

The compound radius came in around 2010.
The USA deluxe HSS as I mentioned had an LSR and the other bits mentioned.
It is very easy to fit locking tuners to a standard neck with no mods and drill an extra hole.
Send the serial to consumerrelations@fender.com ... it sound unusual to say the least.
Never say never but I do not ever remember the deluxe that year having a large headstock.
D in the serial stands for deluxe.
More than likely parts....
Hope this helps
