Hi,
does anyone who has a 59 American Vintage Strat know what is the factory wiring, is it "modern" or "vintage"? In other words does the tone pot affect the bridge pickup?
And if anyone has dared to open the guitar, please tell me what capacitor does it use, the white "Pure Vintage Wax Paper Capacitor, .10uf @ 150V" or the red "Pure Vintage "Hot Rod" Capacitor, .1uF @ 150V"?
Thank you all in advance!

Yeah, thanks for replying, I found that but it has two wirings, and I didn't know which was the factory one. The one with the 5 way switch seems to have the loop to enable the tone control to work for the bridge pickup. How would it affect the tone if I wired the 59 pickups with one pure vintage volume pot, one pure vintage tone pot, and ,instead of the third pure vintage pot for middle and bridge, I put a 250k no load pot, the so called delta circuit? Would it be better to just keep all the factory parts?

The tone is a matter of taste on so small mod .

I had a chance to have a friend which is a big collector of Fender guitars and amps . All real vintage . And we try so many vintage Fender , all original and tone are not same for same model same years.

It is my understanding that the 5 way switch is installed at the factory and a three way is included if you want to make it "vintage"
