Good evening from France everybody!

I am going to drop by my music shop with my 2011 American Standard Strat next wednesay to get it modified. I don't want to do anything that could really harm it.

I am going to install:
_A MDX (Mid Boost) circuit
_A TBX Tone pot (I will try the normal tone pot and the TBX)
_A S1 switch in order to save the battery when not using the boost or keeping the guitar plugged in.

I am having a hard time to choose between pickups.
I have read a lot about pickups but as I am left handed, I didn't try that much pickups.

I want a pickup with heavy basses and quite a lot of mids but still with quite a lot of treble. Kind of a "glassy" treble . But whom are also "noiseless".

I was thinking of:
_VN Noiseless Pickups
_The hot version
_Lace Sensors (I don't know which one)
_Hot Gold Lace Sensors.

Won't I also have some staggering problem with the pickups?
Could you help me try to find the best pickups for the tone that I would like?
Thanks by advance

-Ben.

Thanks for the answer. Why more the VN's than the other?
And yep' the Mod covers all of the frequencies but not the bass and treble at the same time. You can get a lot of bass for low treble or the opposite.

I've had the VN,s. I would go with the Lace set up. I like the sound better.

I was thinking about the gold or the emerald. What would you recommend?

Dual Coil Ceramic (hot noiseless).

Slowhand Meets El Becko.

I've seen a masterbuilt CS Strat combining the hot noiseless pickups with the Elite circuit, essentially a Jeff Beck Strat with active electronics and a maple neck in place of rosewood (probably a custom one-off ordered by a fan of the two former Yardbirds).

I had a listen to the Hot Noiseless and compared them to the VN's.
I really prefer that woody tone that the Hot Noiseless have.
Now need to decide between them or Lace Sensors (Emerald or Gold)

You're not going to get all three eq bands boosted at the same time, the way to do that is to use a volume boost.
If you boost one frequency range, then the other two ranges must either stay at the same level or lessen to have any effect of boost to the frequencies you're trying to increase.

I got very good results with SCN's and the clapton midboost circuit. Far better than I got with Vintage Noiseless. I also recommend not bothering with the TBX. It's garbage. It doesn't boost treble, it just strangles the bass response from 5-10 on the control. And the mid position sounds stunted.
If you want a good tone control, you can do a lot worse than the Bill Lawrence Qfilter.

Sorry.. I forgot to say that the MDX isn't the Elite Circuit but the Clapton version with a 25Db Mid-Boost not a 12Db

I'll try the TBX and a standard pot. I really like that Clapton with a lot of mids and soaring highs but also the Bonamassa sound when he had his strat.
