Yeah, the all black looks great.

The mismatched plastics not so great.

Imagine the pickup covers were the color I actually ordered.

I'm impressed with the look of that neck on the matching body. I'm looking forward to seeing your finished pics. :)

No setup. Not even sure the neck is mounted quite straight yet. Looks lovely...

But Dark Penguin, could you think about that GIF of Jack Ruby and Oswald... A Fender Telecaster shouldn't be affiliated with that event.... Thanks..

Well said -- I think the OP should consider trying to find a modified de-valued 1960s Strat to put this loaded pickguard into. That is, find a 1960s Strat that still has the original neck, tuners, body & bridge -- or maybe buy them a la carte. When you drop your loaded pickguard into it, you will have likely doubled your money -- AND -- you now have a 1960s Strat that will increase in value faster than whatever you were planning on building.

Thanks. That has been a slowly evolving build. I'm hoping it is finally done.

I don't know where that oswald image come from. I've had it for a good 10 years.

And Ruby would never play a strat. All the surf guitars are right out. Gibsons are more a Stalin or Pol Pot kind of guitar. I guess I could see him with a Danelectro thinking it was a non ironic kind of cool....

It's done if you get some Black Knobs! :D

I'm still waiting for a final report on how that Warmoth neck plays and compares to a Fender product.

BTW, any Fret Sprout?
