UHMMMM...Bill didn't call anyone a "Moron" or a "Condescending Douchbag"...talk about "Haters"?

Come on give it a rest, it was just a disagreement about some knobs!

Actually it has happened a few times right here on these boards and I stand by that statement as well, Bill is a "Condescending Douchbag" who seeks to call me out and attempt to belittle me. I'd hate to disappoint the gent and not deliver what he's looking for.

You have done your own attacking on here so be careful about those stones you're throwing. I also think you are being more than a little Paranoid, Bill is not seeking you out and looking to belittle you, he is an engineer who could probably build that new amp...might want to rethink your comments. Just sayin!

And I am a machinist that can build split a spline the very shafts we speak of, I probably forgot more about diameters and shafts and splines in the last ten seconds than you will ever know. I hope I forget more tomorrow. So if I say I do it then you can bet the fit was ocd perfect... Just sayin. Your point was again?
I found it entertaining so now you got bluesky's back huh? Thats funny. I on the other hand have seen more message board action while watching Hangover III than in a while.
Seems you guys dont wanna talk unless your throwing insults or hate so Im just trying to speak the language here.
So you have a good night ok? See ya soon. 8)

So now you want to attack me? Umm just so you know, I spent a good 10 years working part time as a machinist with my Grandfather who did it for more than 65 years, so again be careful about those stones. Just because I chose to do something else with my life (oh yeah, like being a decorated combat veteran) doesn't mean I know of nothing else.

Bill is a big boy, I don't need to defend him, but you were doing the name calling, and I just thought that if I pointed out that to you, you might actually rethink your hating, but alas you're just a punk who thinks only he can know best...I pity you for your small mindedness...but you're no longer worth my time.

Later Hater.

I appreciate everyone's input. I'm sorry that it turned into a big fight, although it did give me a bit of a laugh. The pots that came with the pickups are Alpha course knurling, I've tried the MIM knobs, they were too tight, I also have a MIA strat, tried the knobs from it too, they were also too tight. I contacted EMG, they referred me to http://www.stewmac.com, I ordered a set of universal knobs that will fit both the fine and course knurling splines.

I love how passionate everyone gets with just simple little things like knobs, you are all great, it's nice having so many people to talk to about guitar stuff.... Thanks again.

This ain't exactly a "Kodak moment" for you, Donnie......

As a brother in arms I always thought better of you.

I don't really think that was an attack on you now do you?
You see that's the problem with text everyone wants to put they're own emotions into emotionless text. I simply state my overveiw and you get to react. Your reaction is completely yours to decide.
Well can't say this wasn't entertaining and theraputical venting some pent up feelings that both bluesky and I share for each other.

You fellas take care and oh by the way that amp is way cool see I fix an older machinist guitars for him he plays in church. I never charge him and give him parts like pickups whatever. Finally he hooked me up and sold me that amp for $100 floor controller and all. Even the anvil case, its only been drivin on sundays honest.

T2,

Mr. Craven's comments don't bother me in the least.

As far as technology goes, well, let's just say that the technology I deal with on a daily basis is a wee bit more complicated than a Line 6 amp. A vacuum tube amp is actually a nice change of pace.

I'm outta here.

Ayup -- me too, Bill.

I think Kevin Cronin expresses my sentiments precisely......

I'm very disappointed in the turn that this thread has taken......

Not sure what "Existing Knobs" mean but when I installed the knobs from my MIM Standard Stratocaster on to the EMG pots they fit perfect. Same with my MIA Standard Stratocaster.
