I like it, do you do it in Flash?

I would change a few things...
- In the beginning, I'd make her bounce when those words appeared with the loud bang, like she felt it.
- I might make her walk up the middle (or closer to the middle), then have the sentence knock her over to the side, as in...

She walks up the middle, sentence appears and knocks her to side (even a little, maybe like almost tipping her over), she looks at it, next words appear, she bounces from the shock. Also, from a eye flow perspective, when she walks up the side, those words are at an odd place. If she's in the middle, and the words force her over, your eye is already there to read them. Just a usability/eye flow note.

I'd also make her either shake with everything else, or hold still and cover her ears, shake her head maybe, like she doesn't like it. Then the zoom out from her face shows she's been "transformed" which will transition into her jammin with the stacks behind her.

I might make her shake and bounce when the "Welcome home.." bar starts too.

I'm just being picky, but I critique ads all day. Very cool, though. You got some skills, dawg. (in my best randy jackson voice)

Bit joyless of me, but I wonder what view Fender take of your use of their logos in a public medium. Unless of course they are behind an exercise in viral marketing...

That was my first thought.

I think it's great, though I agree that making HK bounce when those words appear would be fantastic. Love the Hello Rockitty version she morphs into with the Strat!

The op states "... motion graphics class."

Yeah it did. But once he posts it publicly outside the classroom and advertises it on a message board it isn't a class project anymore.

It was a bit grumpy-old-man of me, to be sure. If it's really a 12 year old learning Flash, then good luck to him.

What I suddenly wondered was whether "kerm" is actually some cynical guy in the marketing office, trying to program us to do his advertising for him.

It's just the paranoia surfacing again. ZZdoc has already prescribed me some meds for that...

I agree,
Lets relax here for a second & let Fender worry about the use of their logo's.

If you ask me, I don't see why they would be upset. It is a student project that is promoting the parent company of our favorite gutiar maker FENDER!!
