No.... Unless it resurfaces , but a friend who was the manager at Guitar Center had a special buy request from someone in NY for that... So I assume whoever bought it knew what it really was and isn't going to let it go any time soon...
But One can always hope.....

Oooh, CS '56 NOS Strat, nice one, strangely enough, I'm a little peeved at your EX too!

Was that my favorite, a V neck contour?

Yes it was a V neck, funny thing was, That Strat used to belong to the Fender Rep in the Mass / CT / RI region, it had been a special order specifically for the rep, when I bought it from Caruso's in New London, it looked like it had been out of it's case maybe once or twice since 2001...
That pristine....
( As for the Ex. It's done and I'm not about to pollute my thread with her substance induced drama... ) That is all I will say on that prickly topic...

Back to the topic at hand... 8)
I still have the specs that Mike Eldred was kind enough to forward me ...
Yep... Eldred was the signer on the Certificate.....

Ces't la vie, good story though. :o

I'm sure the new owner is happy with it and, hopefully, loving.

So you have an excellent basis for quality comparison, the new guitars should be excellent! :D

Well that depends. If it had the 10/56 V-neck,[which it should have] you'd have found it a tad beefier than the Clapton's and even their generic V. You can see the 10/56 on the new American Vintage of that period. I can't speak to their new V-neck guitar with the rosewood board. I've yet to audition one.

My hands are not large, so maybe not so much (a favorite). I gotta get out and try some of the new V-necks. Not that I need any more GAS! :D

Nor mine, which is why I defer to the Clapton.

Guess I'll just have to get one to find out if I like it!

Here's a Forum thread from Oct. 2011, started by Alainlafrance re: '56 neck shapes. The replies get a lil' bit heated.

I thought this was a good diagram, y'all might know better.

That's it, and you will. Yes...quite interesting thread it was. As it turned out, Mike Eldred's representation with respect to the 10/56 neck was later clarified. It was not characteristic of the generic V-neck Fender uses but specific to the '56 Stratocaster. The specs on the former describe it as a 'thick soft V....42 mm at the nut', whilst the latter is described as a 'soft V....42.8mm at the nut'

The Clapton neck profile is a bit slender than the early 50's soft V. Eric wanted a guitar having the distinctive neck shape borrowing from one of his highly prized Martin dreadnought acoustics.

Now back to our regurlarly scheduled program....
Time to order a neck for the project.....
Just dropped off the Magnatone for repairs yesterday so bought a Pro Junior III to handle the in between, couldn't stand playing thru a G-Deck much longer....

I'm not sure I will go for that Vintage 50's era neck profile ....
Have to go and see about some guitars today to decide...

Looking forward to your Neck report. It may take some time to do it right! 8)

You already know the 10/56 v-neck. See if you can find a Road Worn 50's Strat is another v-neck example. The '54 is a U shape.
Then there's the '57 Vintage Hot Rod which a modified v-neck...less of a taper on the spine. Also check out the Clapton.

Then there's this one:

FSR American Standard "V" Neck Strat guitar has all the bells and whistles of our classic American Standard guitar, including a trio of rich-sounding single-coil Custom Shop Fat ’50s pickups. But now, we've added a sturdy yet comfortable "soft V"-shaped neck, which features a compound-radius rosewood fingerboard (9.25"-14")

So many guitars, So little time!! :D
