Deluxe and deluxe locking.
Can you show us pics of the bridge including the bridge block.
And some of the guitar of course.
You should be able to see two allen grub screws on the bridge block.
Does the arm click when driven home?
Have you removed the bridge to confirm the arm seats as mentioned and have you tried adjusting the two allen screws?
Does the metal clip look intact and does it engage when you drive the arm down?
If it has seldom been used it may be very tight to insert or remove when seated.:D

The arm with the allen key like thing sticking out is the better fit of the two arms I have but still doesn't feel like it's the right one. There is no click/snap sound when I push it in. It does engage when I lower the arm. I have not removed the bridge. Where are these allen grub screws?

Cheers

Those saddles are they satin or gloss.
If they are satin you could have a standard bridge not a deluxe.
Lets see some more of the strat does it have a contoured heel and does the serial start DZ?
The grub screws are in the back of the block on the bottom side where the arm fits in.
You should be able to just see them and the slit for the clip
Just look on the net at the deluxe bridge block and you should see what I mean :D

Hi

I can see those grub screws and the slit. Tweaking that means removing the bridge which I'm scared of doing :) I guess I could get someone to do it for me. I need to tighten them?

Serial number is DZ4179600, pretty sure it's a deluxe strat

If you think you have pushed the bar home then you may have to tighten these.
The clip holds the bar in but the screws allow the bar to be adjusted so it can swing easily or not depending on your preference.
If the bar is poping out without a slight tug then it is either not fully home or you have a clip problem. The clips can break.
If you can see the grub screw etc then deluxe bar pictured is standard for that strat.
If you feel uncomfortable with this procedure then get some one with experience to do it for you or at least show you how. Hope this all helps :D

Hi

I have purchased both kind of tremolo arms. They are both very loose and don't pop in

These are what I have:

Then you going to need to tighten your sleeve its on the side of the block its a set screw that will take up the slack on the sleeve inside the hole.

Do you know where it is?

You will have to remove strings and remove springs and remove the tremolo.
