Look original to me. If it is a good deal and you take too much time to check around you'll lost the guitar . It's happened often .

Good luck .

I can't find this guitar on Fender catalog , serial number said it might be a 2003 or 2004 .

There is no USA made guitar with these two strig T and most important , pickgard's screw are NOT Fender standard !!!!!!

What do you know about this guitar ? Is it a Part-O -Caster ? What is the price ?

You don't know what is a string T . It is the 2 string retainer on peg head . To push string down

Pickgard screw ; Fender put these screw at same place on every Stratocaster . This guitar is not standard . Why ?

Sting T + wrong pickgard screw= fake ?

Price is very good ? forget it ;
1- A fish bought it before you
2 - It is a fake ?

2003 American Strat only had one string guide or tree like the ones here
http://www.fender.com/en-GB/guitar-bass ... -2-chrome/

The neck wood appears to be slightly birds eye figured which is not usual.

Twelfth fret marker dots are a bit far apart as well.

Do you have any pics of the headstock including nut showing the truss rod hole and the rear of the guitar showing the tremolo cover?

Looks to me like there's no truss rod plug at all.

Fake!

Not even a good one. Squier PG, Squier bridge, no walnut plug in headstock, wrong tuners.

I see a small part of it on the peg head photo

The S/N indicates 2003/2004, so the bridge should be 2 point.
The tuners should be the current style/fit.
There's no walnut plug where the truss rod access is either.

It's a fake.

This is what the headstock should look like ...

The made in USA is visibly different from the above picture, as is the string tree.

Don't all modern Strats have a microtilt adjuster on the neck?

Bridge saddles look distinctly non-standard too.

Not sure why I always end up spotting this on guitars but the 12th position dot markers are wrong. They look to be spaced wide, this was only done on 1950s Fenders and a lot of the foreign import models. USA Fenders have the dot markers a little closer together.

The American Specials don't have the microtilt, and the old Highway 1s didn't have it either.

That being said the guitar the OP posted is not an old Highway 1; it is definitely a fake.

I'm no expert, but I wouldn't buy it thinking I was purchasing an authentic US made fender. Looks like some scum is trying to scam you. Don't buy it dude.
