Hi ,

i have an MIA that i didnt use to play since 2 or 3 months and it stays only inside its case , today i wanted to play it and i did find that the note B of the string 5 (bass) is buzzing in second fret , and i dont know what i have to do now ? should i adjust the Neck ? or just the bridge ( strings ) ? and how that can happen if the Guitare was unused and stays only in its case ? thanks for the help . :D

Strings lose tension, and humidity changes, especially during winter. Chances are the neck is now bent further backwards, and needs a truss rod adjustment, loosening it to add relief.

I recommend checking the neck relief every few months - at least once for every seasonal change (how many you have depends on where you live), and changing the strings when they get tired, whether you have played or not.

If it's a newer rosewood fretboard, and you never oil it, you might also suffer from the fretboard having absorbed humidity from the air and expanded, pushing the frets up. With maple fretboard, that's generally not a problem, due to the finish covering the edge between frets and fretboard, so there's no easy way for humidity to be absorbed.

But I'd put my money on it needing a truss rod adjustment.

Unless you kept it in a hermetically sealed case or one with a humidifier, that you kept it in a case is irrelevant. Otherwse, the humidity inside the case will change with the humidity of the room.
Wood is a living material, and will change shape depending on how dry the wood is. How an individual piece of wood reacts to humidity changes is pretty much unpredictable. Some of your other guitars may have too much relief right now, and you just haven't noticed.

In addition, strings lose tension over time. Which is why an unplayed guitar becomes out of tune. Less tension means the neck has an easier time bending backwards, which means a greater risk of getting fret buzz unless you compensate with the truss rod.

Again, checking the relief and changing strings is part of normal guitar maintenance.
