I have a Fender Standard Stratocaster with only three single coil pickups and I have a Fender Mustang 1(V.2) amp. How do I get a hard rock sound with single coil pickups and the amp I have? Also what pedals would you recommend? I new to playing Hard Rock.

You might want to think about replacing your bridge pickup with a humbucker. They're are lots available that slip right into the single coil size slot on your pick guard.

Air Norton S for middle of the road gain

Super Distortion S for higher gain with that classic kick-ass sound and plenty of harmonics.

You could find a good hard rock amp in an entry level price range in a Randall.
Take a look at the RG80

Will equalizer help fatten the sound of single coil pickups?

Oh, Jimmy, how we've missed you. Still struggling with your only 3 single coil pickup guitar?

I think you just need a good distortion pedal to play hard rock with a Strat.

Add in a wah-wah pedal and a tweed case and you are all set.
