Dear All

Just for intro, i'm consider newbie for the fender
Recently i just bought Fender Strat 50th Anniversary which is of course 1996

But honestly this is the worst fender usa i have ever played

Condition
1. Neck seems original
2. SN is okey (already checked)
3. PU look like original

problem is:
1. the tone of the guitar is sounds thin, muddy, and loss its sustain and attack
it is still have the fender taste amstd PU, but seems somethings wrong
The PU seems original, except the bridge already changed into hotrail
the tone pot and volume is already changed to alpha
is there something wrong?

2. The body is look so plain, doesn't like the others strat that i used to see
is it alder? original or not? or maybe already changed into another strat type?

if this fake, i will return it to the seller of course, need advise guys

Regards :D :D

Hi close.friend,

That is certainly not a MIA Strat, of any sort. Why no shot of the headstock decal? Based on what you've shown, I have to say fake.

+1

That tremolo tailpiece is unlike anything I've ever seen on a MIA Strat.

The black guitar appears to be a genuine Fender instrument.

The only revealing details shown in your pics were the electronics (pots and selector switch), which are foreign, maybe Japanese or Chinese, but definitely not American. The pick guard is not stock for an Am Strat either. Shots of the headstock, front and rear, could help determine the neck authenticity. The body, I'm not sure, maybe American, but I have doubts.

Once is fine. Twice makes me suspicious that you're trying to turn a profit and treating us as Free Appraisal Services Inc.

Best free appraisals on the net.

Nothing wrong at all, that's what most of us are here for, to share knowledge and experience with those that have neither.
