hi all, i have recently purchased a 2013 MIM stratocaster, which is completely stock.. i want to upgrade the guitar with new pickups that give a classic fender strat tone , i play rock, blues , country , hard rock, pop, etc, i have hard tailed the guitar , dressed the frets, and set the whole guitar up, any suggestions of what to do to upgrade and mods to do to the guitar will be greatly appreciated, thanks to all who reply..cheers

Supplant the zinc trem block with a cold-rolled steel replacement for enhanced sustain and marginally-better tuning stability then upgrade the pickups to alnico types with vintage-stagger poles: Tex-Mex, Texas Specials, Fat 50's, or CS 57/62's.

With the right amp you shouldn't want for anything else.

Might not affect your sound much, but locking tuners are worth it.
Get a good quality set.

I installed a set of EMG SA 20 pickups with SPC and EXG tone pots. I also installed a set of Fender Locking tuners.
