Hi,
I bought a 1956 Stratocaster 'relic' serial R34194 from 2007.
It was pre-owned. Bought it in a fenderdealer guitarshop. All original, no refret.

My question: what kind of finish is on the neck?
It is not that kind of 'sticky' nitro feeling. Could it be poly-urethane, or is that not possible?

Kind regards,

What did the "fenderdealer guitarshop" tell you it was?

Thanks for your response. I don't know how to place a picture on this forum.

I've been revving up for a music event in my community and keep finding that my go to guitar is still my '89 Clapton with a satin finish neck. Just don't get the same feel from those gloss finishes, nitro or otherwise.
