When i took the neck off i was like, where is the date ? where is the stamp on the heel ?
Then looking at the body neck pocket stamps, i was puzzled because again, no date stamps, no stickers.
The "53774" stamp and font looked unusual to me for fenders.
Never seen a "J.Ambriz" stamp on necks.
The "#11" stamp in the neck pocket was the one beginning to give me some stress.
Inside the body cavity there are a few stickers over stickers.

Very strange, but you seem pretty sure that it's legit.
Do you perhaps know the reason why the stamps are so different ? And why no date stamps ?

Thanks for taking the time, its appreciated.

The inner workings of FSR production at Corona are a mystery to me.

I can say that these guitars are fairly rare and standard protocol may not have been followed.

Here are some actual Fender pics of the replacement body for my FSR Ltd. Ed. Am. Vtg. 57 through the various stages of it's production:

These are photos supplied to me by the Rep at Fender over the 18 mo. period my guitar's body was being replaced (How cool is it to have a pic of the guitar body in it's raw unfinished state?).

The markings on this guitar may bear little resemblance to yours simply because this was a one-off replacement body produced by the Custom Shop.

So far as rarity, this guitar is very likely the only FSR Ltd. Ed. CAR American Vintage '57 Stratocaster to have a fully-documented Custom Shop body, making it a very rare bird.

Hope this helps.

cheers!
