Hi there guys... I was thinking ...I just upgraded my new reverse headstock strat with the EMG DG20 set and It is ssweeeet now .... I didnt keep the DG20 pickguard because it made it look like a modern guitar not a 60's ..I think it keeps its nice 60's look with the regular white reverse pickguard what do you think? ....anyway I wanna see you upgraded strat.... here's mine! yeah hehe

Great job - Really sweet!!! I want to do the same to a 2004 50th anniversary American. The white pickguard is much better than the moto that it ships with IMO.

Is this strat ash or alder?

does the reverse headstock model have a different tone to a normal strat? I'm just thinking it might because of how the bridge pickup is positioned differently.

buitiful strat man but it lost its look when you put those
pickups in. 69 customs would have done this strat justice
this is just my opinion.

Not sure if you would consider this an "upgrade" or not but I made a slight change to my American Deluxe Strat over the weekend. Removed the Pearloid pickguard and replaced it with a mint green pickguard

I am. I also got a push/pull knob installed that enables the bridge/neck combo and bridge/middle/neck combo.

Mine's just a pickguard upgrade too; cause I LOVE the way this thing plays and feels stock. It's an American Deluxe V-Neck Strat from 2006. Anyway the new guard is a black one with a thin sheet of walnut burlwood added.

Hey misterboston, how did you fabricate the wood-look pickguard? It is nice, and I would like to see some more photos if possible. It looks like a pro job.
