Hi everybody !!!

Just got my new Fender American Standard strat in Sienna sunburst with rw fingerboard. Love at first sound ... Got a little problem though. I would like to ask anyone who's got the same guitar. Is the trem arm screwed in your block straight or under an angle ? Please answer me only if you got the same instrument because i dont know what to do . I don't find difficulty in screwing it in but it is not straight for sure. It goes a little to the back. Thanks again.

All Fender trem arms go in at an angle.

so no defects ? My problem is that when i don't hold the arm and it's not tight, then it hits on the cable and stops there.I dont know if i can make you understand and i dont know if it should be like that.I don't have any stores near me to go and check other strats. Thanks very much.

It is not defective. The trem arm hanging down like that is normal unless you tighten it up. I like the trem arms on my Strats to hang down like that.

Yeah it's the same with my new standard. Thanks for clearing that up Chet.

Ed: There's a later post.... "Roller Nut Installation".....you might have a look at. Have you encountered tuning stability issues with your '08 American Standard?

Doc.
