E8 + 5 digits 1988 or 1989

Real nice Stratocaster .

Just be sure it do not need a fret job , this is very expensive.
A "old "guitar like this one , if played often may need a fret job ,

Price ; not more than $600 in USA or Canada IMO

This is the "Vintage Guitar Amplifiers (anything before 1985)" section of the forum, post guitar threads here:

http://forums.fender.com/viewforum.php?f=6

One thread is all that's necessary, why post the same question twice?

Nice looking guitar. You are ok between 600 and 700 dollars. As long as it's in good shape including the frets. I wouldn't mind owning that one.

Not always. If it's a first leveling, it doesn't have to cost much at all.
It's basically taping down the fretboard, leveling and crowning. It probably won't cost more than $80-$160 including a setup, depending on how much work is needed, and who you pick for the job.
This is a single radius neck, which makes the job much easier.

If frets need to be replaced, or it's a compound radius neck or steel frets, yeah, then it can be expensive.

Anyhow, nice guitar. I'd say anything up to $800, if it's in very good condition and comes with the original case and candy. Less if it doesn't.
