I'm trying to imagine how they wouldn't and I can't. They'll be installed the same side up, just the guitar will be reversed.

+1

IMO Pole pieces for a standard pickup wil be a same string for lefty or righty guitar .

N3 must be work either side too.

The N3 pickups' polepieces are assymetrically staggered. Thus, installed in a "southpaw" instrument they will be reversed from their designed application.

Sorry I don't see how ???

Lest say ,pole piece for high E string on PU for righty guitar will be up . OK ?

Same PU , same pole piece for a lefty guitar will be up too , I'm wrong ?

Just "front" or "rear" of the pickup change.

It doesn't make sense if you consider how you'd stuff them into the pickguard. But if you look at the routes it is a different story. Look at the lefty bodies fender sells. The middle pickup is routed to fit a specific way; pointed towards the $@! end of the guitar. So the pickup would be reversed on a lefty body. Swimming pool route would make this a non issue.

DarkPenguin, you answer to me I guess

You are right , I just forget to think where the wires comes out from the pickups. We need to reverse pickup to follow the body route from "righty " PUs to a lefty guitar .

Lefty guitar need lefty PU

Thank's

Lace Sensor have solved the problem. The wires come out at one end. They will fit lefty guitar too

As long as the pickup leads were of sufficient length to allow mounting them reversed, there would be ample room within the body itself.

FWIW; the poles on my N3's are as follows: D is highest, G a little lower, A a little lower, the two E's about equal, the B is the lowest pole. If you turn them around the lettering would be upside down, so I'm sure Fender must make lefty specific pups.

As mentioned the poles vary in height. IMHO I'd go with a different brand of pup. I bought one with N3 Noiseless and they sound completely different than they used to. It's like putting a pillow in front of your amp. They just seem bland and lifeless to me, I've compared them to the other guitars I have and there's just such little output from them you have to increase the volume. If your playing with some overdrive or distortion it loses almost all of it and have to increase the gain.

I'm going to go ahead and disagree. :) I'm quite happy with the N3s in my American Deluxe. Then again, I've only had it two weeks.

I agree they are quieter but just a nice rich sound that isn't as clangy as the Fat 50s but still a delightful sound in its own right. More of a rounder attack. I had heard all sorts of things on the internet but am glad I decided to give them a chance.

+1 I tweak a few knobs on my amp and get great tone from my N3's, and they are quiet. I think most people that complain about them haven't lived with them for very long.
