A bit of a cross post here but maybe someone can help?
I've just picked up my first Fender which is a limited edition cs relic strat 1960 made in 2007. It needs a setup but the saddle grub screws don't appear to be adjustable with Allan keys. I've also noticed that there appears to be a small amount of solder fixed to the grub screws on the high and low e strings.
Can anyone give me any pointers on this one?
Thanks in advance.

Strange ...I would remove the string then the saddle and see if you could drive the screw down instead of up to remove it from the underside if the saddle.
With the screw out try to remove the solder. It may not have bonded well to the screw. If it has you could try various methods e.g. Heat and suction or copper wIck?
If the screws are bound in the saddles remove them and try soaking them in WD40 or similar to free them up. Do not use too much force since you risk ruining the Hex slot or the thread.
Hope this helps :D

I'd dismantle the bridge and replace the grub screw, even if you shift most of the solder the screw will remain tight in future and you'd run the risk of stripping the hex key hole. I had to do this on a Telecaster someone had done a similar job on with threadlock adhesive. Maybe he thought the guitar was immune to neck movement. It wasn't, neither is yours.

The correct wrench should be a .05", that's SAE not Metric.

I see what appear to be good edges on at least some of your Height Adjustment Screws. If you use the correct wrench and don't get a good connection, whether from dirt or deformity, you could strip the screw even more and you'd need to replace it.

Shame to replace authentic, dirty "relic-ed" screws with bright, shiny, new stainless steel, but you need to be able to adjust them.

If you do replace them there are tutorials on relic-ing hardware. Don't forget that they come in 3 sizes to alleviate scratching your palm while playing.

BTW, I like that Red Relic Guitar. :D

Merry Christmas everyone!

Make sure and loosen the string before making any adjustment to the saddle. Then retune string to proper pitch and measure your adjustment.
