Hello,

I was just looking for a recommendation. I get a lot of dust build up between the neck pickup and start of the fret board, as well as between the bridge pickups and the bridge. Does using those common compressed air dust cleaning cans affect the finish or tone of the guitar?

Just looking for an easy way of cleaning without having to remove the strings.

Thanks!

Light wet cloths do the job or what you use to clean your home furniture.

A Q-tip with a little Pledge sprayed on it is all you need. Works great for cleaning the headstock as well.

Just make sure when polishing you use the white stockinette type material DO NOT use yellow dusters as the fibres ball up on the strings , wheras the white ones don't

I just use a dry microfiber cloth and push the strings out of the way.

I'd worry with those dusting sprays that the rapid cooling and reheating could damage the finish or the thin wires in the pickups.
