I grew up in a country and society where no, you would not call a lawyer, but an ambulance.
The doctors and nurses would ensure that you got the help you needed, including follow-ups, equipment, rehab, pensions, rebuilt cars and housing, and re-education if needed. Without a lawyer. The person who allegedly caused it would be the one needing a lawyer, facing criminal charges.
So it's definitely doable to have societies where we're less dependent on lawyers.

Until then, we're going to need all the help we can get because, quite honestly, when it comes to seeing to it that insurance companies pay out what they've been collecting premiums for, it's like trying to get blood from a stone.

True. One might think they were run by lawyers... ;)

Paris...it's a run of the mill '65 Strat. What could they[possibly do with it to make it unique?

Just put Bob Dylan's name on the headstock and have it be slightly relic????

That would do it, with promises of that famous Dylan tone!

I completely agree, and don't know why people clammered for the Buddy Holly Strat, another stock guitar. In fact, unless the guitar has unique features, like Clapton's, Andy Summers', or Jeck Beck's, Stratocasters, I don't know why people want them.

I think it has to do with some kind of memorabilia! I guess it would make a good conversation piece to show your friends. :?

When I asked, someone begging Fender to make a Buddy Holly, John Lesson or an Ike Turner Strat, what was so special about them, that they were stock. They swore up and down that they they weren't. These are bone stock instruments which anyone could get anywhere.

I don't think that I would want say, a George Harrison "Rocky" Strat. It would be kind of wierd playing it.

Bob played various Strats since, including this sunburst Bonnie Raitt signature model.

Does anyone remember the video "The Last Waltz" with Dylan and The Band? Dylan way playing a similar sunburst STRAT and Robbie Robinson did some fantastic playing with his STRAT that was bronze plated like a baby shoe. That fantastic sounding guitar resolved any argument I had over lacquer... poly... or wood needing to breathe to sound better issue.

Bob is mostly seen playing a '70s Thinline with wide range humbuckers these days.

Own it....The world is still waiting for the Robertson Tribute or Signature Series Strat. We had a lot of discussion about that back around the time the Gilmour Project was underway. So far, nothing.

The actual RR signature model is the moonburst Strat® he uses nowadays.

The bronze guitar is currently fitted with a Washburn® Wonderbar™.
