Recently Fender began offering many of their Stratocasters with an HSH configuration.

The J5 Triple Fat Telecaster is the only genuine Fender guitar having an HHH setup and it's a shame they not offer a Strat with such layout.

I already know that Fender sells Stratocaster pickguards routed for three full-sized humbuckers, but they're a few customers seeking for a genuine American-made Triple Fat Strat.

At least release an American Deluxe HHH with three Modern Twinheads, S1 switching and a mini Floyd Rose bridge! :)

I love that j5 triple Tele Chromeface :) hey, it would be great to see another HHH guitar out there.. Not sure about that mini Fender Floyd Rose though.. Would like to see that bridge but..

I suspect that thing isn't going to see the daylight again. They were very practical, however if they had steel saddles like an OFR bridge and not die cast then that would have been awesome. They were infact a smaller version of the Floyd Rose special in a sense.. Someone holds the patent for that thing though.. Whoever that may be, could be the reason why it's no longer made anymore..

You want triple humbuckers, buy a Frampton Les Paul, a Steve Marriot SG, or a Firebird VII.

Having a genuine Strat with three humbuckers is not a blasphemy, there are countless Strat players such as Richie Sambora and Ryan Pruiz who like this versatile setup.

People have been doing the mini-HB for years in Strats. If you think about it, the Fender Noiseless are mini-HBs.

Yes...but...Fender's Noiseless pickups (as well as the various stacked humbuckers offered by several manufacturers) are not intended to sound like humbuckers so they are more of a functional humbucker since their function is the "buck the hum". Now if you want a Strat that has three humbuckers that don't try to sound like single-coils, you have a few options including single-coil sized humbuckers (they are the little brothers of their full-sized counterparts) such as the Seymour Duncan "Everything Axe" set or get a Squier Deluxe Hotrails Strat. You can also go the high-end route and get yourself one of these bad boys:

The Billy Corgan Strat sports an HHH configuration with three DiMarzio "rail" humbuckers (two of them bear his name) housed into a single coil format.

Dave Murray has many of his guitars fitted with three SD Hotrail humbuckers (recently he swapped the hotrail bridge pickup from his vintage white Floyd Rose Classic for a little screaming demon).

I like the looks and might give it a try. I know Mr. Chromeface has mentioned this a number of times. One would need to use a 1987-1997 American body with a swimming pool route to do it. Also when I have bought fullsized humbuckers to put in a Strat, I have had to cut the legs down on the mounts and resolder them shortened so they would fit in the shallower route cavity. Ummm.. How about a black body with black pearl pickguard and 3 chrome covered humbuckers with 3 coil slitting switches? Or one coil splitter switch for all 3 pickups?

 Well, I partially agree but I didn't want something with a Gibson scale length and needed the basic layout of a Strat body, including the 5-Way and the ability to have a maple neck & board… it just so happens that the Strat was the perfect platform. For the project I've been working on there's not much "Strat" left to this thing… there's nothing stock about this other than the neck… the body has been hacked to pieces, a second input jack has been added, the trem has been blocked and the cavity stuffed with a preamp, and the guitar will have an on-board effects loop… I just ordered the pickups yesterday: two Dimarzio Super 2s (neck and middle) and a Dimarzio Super Distortion for the bridge.

Capable of being an all out shred machine? Sure. However, I building this thing for the clean tones… it's the same electrical setup as Jerry Garcia's Rosebud… have a listen to his clean tone, it's pretty sweet. In any event...

Is it a Strat? I could care less what you call it but when it's finished it's going to be AMAZING!

As far as Fender offering a H/H/H guitar… I bet they'd sell a few but I'd agree that it's not a very conventional setup (though the strat sized mini humbuckers do look more traditional). Let's face it, the Strat platform is great but not everyone is looking for a vintage style instrument… not to mention there are a myriad of options if that's your thing. The cool thing about Strats is that you can transform them to suit your needs.

Here's the one I'm working on...

This is a very interesting project.

Personally I would suggest three Lace Sensor Red Duallies with chrome covers.

I recalled you've had those special-ordered Lace humbuckers fitted into one of your numerous custom builds.

I like the idea Chromeface, not blasphemy at all. Boy, some people really have to voice an opinion instead of just clicking on to the next thread eh..

I could see this HHH Strat being something from the modern player series- which to me probably isn't a good thing. but at the same time, I'd also like to see a Floyd Rose on it. Perhaps bring back the American Floyd Rose Classic with the option of a HHH as well as a HSS and HH..

Ok, I know what the boys at fender will say.. 'After a HH Strat with a Floyd Rose? ..Look at Charvel'
But hey, I was hoping that there would be a return of that guitar.. Instead I sold out and bought a MIJ Charvel San Dimas HH and I can honestly say, the quality surpasses my Standard Floyd Rose Strat by a long shot.. An Actual Floyd Rose made by Floyd Rose  , JB and a '59 humbuckers, jumbo frets and a compound radius.. Oil finished neck that feels like your playing on wood.. Hell, I even got a matching Charvel/SKB Case.. It absolutely screams.. Yet, it still isn't a Fender Stratocaster though..

Blertles...you need to lighten up when someone disagrees with your opinion or what you value guitar wise. You just did EXACTLY what you accused Retroverbial of doing!
