Are Dual-Coil Ceramic Noiseless pickups on Jeff Becks Stratocaster good for hard rock and heavy metal?

Once you distort the signal I really don't think it matters. Remember that Smoke on the Water was played on a regular single coil Strat. A lot of Metal bands used Strats, some with single coils some with Noiseless, and some with Humbuckers.

You can find the right tone if you setup your amp and pickup selector and tone/volume knobs right. The tone is in there.

I would say you should use a Bridge Humbucker like the Fender Enforcer, and yes for the middle and neck those are awesome.

because their output is properly balanced for use with many hot bridge humbuckers (DH-1 Atomic included).

The entire four sides of the "Made In Japan" album are pretty much a tribute to how far you can push a Strat (and you can push it pretty damn far). Hendrix, Trower, California, Murray, Beck, et al are a testament to the possibilities. Given the right amp, effects, and most of all, inspiration, there are few places that a Strat will not go. And pickup types do not seem to be a limiting factor whatsoever. Some of the Strat's more traditional vibe may be sacrificed when switching to humbuckers or ceramic noiseless but if "heavy" is the objective, the Strat remains a viable vehicle to take you there.

Indeed -- one of the best-engineered live albums ever produced. I score the audio as a tie with the extended LP version of Rare Earth's "Get Ready".
