Got this NOS, unplayed with all the plastic overlay still on. Have to believe it's a Foto Flame, but where do I find SN??

About to pull pickguard, but figured I'd post the Youtube link as I don't know any other way to get pics up in HD (sorry - a newbie).

Any thoughts/comments/ confirmation is welcomed. Came in HSS with only a 1994 guitar offerings catalog - pulled the back cover and no info there (wasn't expecting). Will say that the fit/finish is done excellently and neck is only second to my Gilmour custom shop in attention to detail without normal sharp edges / unworked frets and grainy finish from the MIM strats I have (not a complaint - get what you pay for).

I'm just wondering why the heel of the neck is square, not rounded and you put the trem cover back on the wrong way

At the pic times, I hadn't touched a thing - came that way, but I noticed that as well and corrected it.

On further cleanup, I found out that this was a Warmoth custom with quilted maple top and back and a flame maple SRV neck. Somebody built this up nicely after pricing out all the pieces, so I'm actually damn happy at the cheap pickup! Plus, now tooling around with it (prob swap pickups and we'll see what else) is a no-brainer.

Apologize for the mislead - pics in attached youtube.

My sincere apologies .
Just never seen a square ended neck on a strat before (except a tele neck)
Looks like you got a really good deal....Congrats

That looks like a counterfeit partscaster.. However, that is a very classy one. I wouldn't pass that off as a fender but I would say it's better. If I was going to build a Strat, it would be just like yours :D

Got to agree with Blertles on this one...Definitely NOT a photo flame guitar and certainly not original. Most certainly a Partscaster...not a bad job and looks like they used good quality parts.

You were told it was a Fender and NOS? What music store told you that?
