Does the white colour on Fender Stratocasters change colours over time?

I was thinking about getting the Jeff Beck Stratocaster in the white colour in the future.

With the Nitro finishes, definitely yes, colors change over time. The newer Poly finishes seem to be more resistant to this but, would think they would "Age" eventually.
White generally will get a yellow-ish hue to it as time marches on.

+1

As well, Fender offers several different shades of white.

All nitro colors change color, but it's pretty noticable with white.

Lake Placid Blue can turn greenish
Fiesta Red can turn into a pail red, dark pink or salmon color

Most definitely. The Jeff Beck Strat comes in a vintage white and even though they are shot with the poly finish they do yellow when exposed to UV. See the example below:

This is particularly true of it late 1980s all the way into the mid 90s American Strats. As pointed out Nitro even yellows worse

The actual Jeff Beck Strats are offered in Olympic White. But I totally agree, Vintage White was an option for the pre-2001 models.

Yes, my white '88 MIJ has definitely yellowed over time. The finish hasn't worn though.

Hey Mr Chromeface, where did you get that info? Far as I know The JB Strat was released in Vintage White, Surf Green and Midnight Purple. Unless there was a custom shop version in Olympic White?

It's about the current Jeff Beck signatures made after 2001 with the dual-coil ceramic stacks I'm talking, not the pre-2001 models with the Lace Sensors.

The older Becks were offered in the colours you cited and Mystic Black - which was available only on the Custom Artist version of this guitar.

]Well kinda like that when it was new, but you can see the wood grain better on mine. But I swapped out the pick guard on mine to a pearliod. Now the guitar is a creamier color. If I could remember how to put pix on here?

I have two in Olympic White, a 2009 and a 2010. There is a noticeable difference in color due, I'm guessing, to one being out of the case more.
