Saw an American Standard Stratocaster for sale.
Sienna Sunburst, Maple fretboard.
Seller said he never played it and it's in mint condition.
It's a 2010.
He's asking $975.00.
What's a really good price on this guitar?
Any opinions, folks?

Offer $875 and see if he bites.

I have a 2010 American Standard in totally mint condition I bought new for $880.00usd. His asking price is way too high. 750-800 dollars is more in line IMHO.

The Strat also has Lace Sensor Gold Pickups and Fender Schaller Locking Tuners. The Strat was also made in 2011.

I paid $849.99 back in 2010 for a new American Standard Stratocaster when the MSRP was $1299.99 and the street price was $999.99 but, today, the American Standard Stratocaster MSRP is $1679.99 and the street price is 1199.99.
If it is truly mint, I think it could easily justify $900.

Yeah, the street price of American standards changed from $1000 to $1200 in 2012. (That price increase was not justified by the 2012 changed specs in my opinion. It was just a price increase. But I digress.) Isn't that particular finish more expensive also? That means the street price of the 2013 version of that guitar is like $1350, though you could get it for less on sale. If the thing really is mint, and it's the guitar you want, I wouldn't have a problem paying up to $900-925 for it. The guitar is worth that much for what you'd get. (I don't think the grain pattern on that guitar is particularly awesome, but it's not bad.) But I think you could talk him down. Offer $100 less than he's asking and meet in the middle.

Is this guitar near you so you can play it in person? If so, that's how I'd decide. It's a production guitar. Not the type of guitar I'd buy online without playing it. There's a lot of variation in them, so find one that you think plays well and sounds good.

You're absolutely right. I didn't catch that.
Sienna Sunburst had an MSRP of $1399.99 when all other colors had an MSRP of $1299.99.

Prices for the ash-bodied guitars and basses are higher because of the special wood requirements.

Here is my 2011 American Standard in unplayed condition With factory authorized luthier installed Fender roller nut and hipshot tremsetter. I'm thinking about selling it for about $800.00. Any anomolies you might see are just reflections. It is mint.

I'm the owner. I almost made a big mistake by selling my Sieana Burst Beauty.
